The show doesn't go on because it's ready.
It goes on because it's 11:30.
- Lorne Michaels
Our proverbial 11:30 is... wait... was there another date here BEFORE we had a last-minute technical hurdle???... Monday, June 8th! We understand that it's a weird time for shameless self-promotion or excitement in general... but we are pretty proud of what's coming. Not everything will be in place, but the core of 6 AM to 6 PM should be intact. We've had conversations with several people who are interested in what RFJ should become. We've taken this feedback into careful consideration as we work to build a station that fills gaps in the Jackson radio market.
Any changes to the airtime of existing programs will be communicated in advance, so be on the lookout for that.
In the meantime, weekdays from 6 AM to 6 PM, we hope you enjoy 10,000 Good Songs with Paul Ingles! As of Tuesday, 5/19 we'll start from Episode 1 and you won't hear a repeat all week! Many thanks to Paul for his friendship, generosity, and moral support!
In Tunes 'Til Two news, Sam has started featuring segments of VINTAGE TTT, with original audio of David Adcock! More info to come, but please spread the word ... (EDIT: For the May 31st episode of TTT, Sam has chosen to share the recording of David Adcock's final broadcast. Sam is on at 8:00, and this very special presentation will begin in the 9:00 AM hour.)
You won't hear much from me for a while, as I'll be working to get the station ready for Prime-Time (including some massive upgrades to our playback system) and myself ready for the station. As always, thank you for your support of Radio Free Jackson! If you're able to donate a bit to help us keep the lights on, the 'Support RFJ!' link is at the top of the page. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated!
All the best,
Radio Free Jackson is currently in "Soft Launch Mode" - we're aiming to expand our lineup on Sunday, May 31st! Be on the lookout here, and on our Facebook page.
